The beginning of the 18th century was also the founding period for this winery. This makes it one of the oldest wineries on the island. It is hard to imagine what life was like on the island at that time. Probably due to historical reasons, the winery relied from the beginning on grape varieties that were native to Mallorca and also contributed to giving forgotten grape varieties a new status. The approx. 40 hectares of vineyards are cultivated by hand, as they always have been. At an altitude of about 160 metres above sea level, the permeable stone and gravel soils with their sandy structure help the indigenous grape varieties to thrive. The centuries-long history was only possible in this way because the challenges were met again and again, and this still determines the way of thinking and acting today. Thus, an extension designed by the Spanish master architect Rafael Moneo was added to the historic building. The current conversion to organic cultivation fits in with this.
In deviation from the above-mentioned opening hours, the following opening hours apply during the harvest season from August to October: Mondays to Fridays from 10 h to 14 h and 16 h to 18 h.
